Rum Cake

Isgro's signature cake since 1904 when Mario Isgro opened the pasticceria! Three layers of Génoise sponge cake soaked in homemade almond-and-orange-infused rum, filled with a layer each of Italian vanilla cream and ricotta cream. Covered in ricotta whipped cream and decorated with icing flowers in seasonal colors. Generations of Philadelphia families have served Isgro's unique take on this traditional Italian dessert.
